Hennebique Silos

.

A MASTERPIECE OF INDUSTRIAL ARCHITECTURE
The former grain silos, dating from 1901, is considered one of the most striking and monumental reinforced-concrete buildings of the 20thcentury. Strategically located along Genoa’s waterfront in the heart of the vibrant Old Port, Hennebique overlooks both the sea and the historic city centre and sits adjacent to the Cruise and Ferry Terminal and walking distance from Piazza Principe International Railway Station.
Full planning permission and development approval has been granted to restructure the listed building into a major multi-service hub, catering for cruise, hospitality, retail and recreational activities, whilst simultaneously preserving the distinct architectural features of the property.
Hennebique represents the final step in the completion of the large-scale urban redevelopment of the Old Port and is set to become the focal point of the waterfront promenade seamlessly connecting westwards the cruise hub, across the historic centre and eastwards to the New Levante Waterfront.
