Where innovation meets the local community: today the Milestone Concept Days – South Europe made a stop in Genoa!

The Municipality of Genoa, one of the speakers at the event, has been using the Milestone platform since 2024 as the backbone of the “Safe City” project. It currently manages 3,100 cameras across the urban area and aims to double that number by 2030. This video surveillance network, developed in coordination with the Prefecture, is used daily by the State Police, Carabinieri, and Local Police. Since the system’s launch, the Information Systems Directorate has carried out extensive training, preparing more than one thousand law‑enforcement and civil‑protection operators to use the platform effectively.

Today’s event was aimed in particular at companies and organizations from Northwestern Italy and offered an advanced opportunity for discussion on technologies for security and urban management. After the Genoa stop, the tour will continue to Verona, Paris, Barcelona, Lisbon, Strasbourg, Bari, Malaga, Lyon, Bilbao, Marseille, and Rome.
