Costa Cruises returns to Genoa
Ten years after transferring some departments from Genoa to Hamburg, Costa Cruises has decided to bring back certain functions previously managed by the Carnival Maritime center in Germany. Starting April 1, 2025, the "Marine HR" department, responsible for managing Deck & Engine maritime personnel, will be under the responsibility of Costa Cruises' Human Resources Department in Genoa.
This move is a significant step in Costa Cruises' corporate strategy, aimed at consolidating crew belonging and promoting company values. Integrating the "Marine HR" department with the HR team in Genoa aims to create a unique and enhanced team, capable of ensuring greater cohesion and collaboration among all employees, both on land and on board.
Costa Cruises, part of Carnival Corporation & plc, is an Italian company based in Genoa that has been operating for over 75 years. Its fleet, consisting of 9 ships flying the Italian flag, sails the world's seas, touching more than 200 different destinations, including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, Central and South America, the United Arab Emirates, the Far East, and Southeast Asia.
