Friday, March 28, 2025: Conference and Memorandum of Understanding at Great Campus Erzelli. Genoa Confirms Its Leadership in Supercomputing for Biomedical Research

On Friday, March 28, at the Great Campus in Erzelli, the conference "High Performance Computing for Biomedical Research," organized by Liguria Digitale, will take place. During the event, a memorandum of understanding will be signed, confirming Genoa as a leader in supercomputing, especially in biomedical research. This is thanks to the supercomputers of IIT and the powerful Davinci-1 by Leonardo at Torre Fiumara, which are set to further enhance their performance.

Genoa aims to become a leader in Big Data and to host one of the four continental Giga Factories, a €20 billion project to develop European artificial intelligence, as announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at the AI Action Summit in Paris.

On March 28, at the Erzelli Science and Technology Park, the memorandum of understanding will be signed between local authorities and major national entities to consolidate Genoa's role in supercomputing for biomedical research.
